Reclaiming Land Others Can’t Reach

Safe, professional forestry mulching and land clearing for steep, difficult and overgrown terrain across South East Queensland and Northern NSW.

Remote-Controlled Forestry Mulching & Land Clearing

Hinterland Clearing specialises in clearing the land other contractors turn down. Using FAE remote-controlled tracked mulchers, we will tackle steep slopes, dense lantana, woody weeds and heavy regrowth – terrain that’s too dangerous or inaccessible for conventional machinery.

The operator stays clear of the machine at all times, while the low centre of gravity and wide tracks deliver a clean, consistent mulched finish with minimal disturbance to your soil.

Land Clearing & Vegetation Management Services

  • Forestry Mulching: dense scrub, regrowth and small trees mulched in a single pass, leaving a protective layer that suppresses regrowth and reduces erosion.
  • Steep Slope & Difficult Terrain Clearing: remote-controlled machines built for slopes and country conventional equipment can’t safely access.
  • Lantana & Woody Weed Removal: effective control of lantana, black wattle, tobacco weed and invasive regrowth.
  • Bushfire Fuel Reduction & Firebreaks: reduce fuel loads and establish or maintain firebreaks before fire season.
  • Fence Line Clearing: clean, accessible fence lines ready for repair or new fencing.
  • Rural Property & Acreage Clearing: reclaim overgrown paddocks and open up your property for grazing, access or development.

Born on a 40-Degree Slope

Hinterland Clearing started with our own problem: a steep, heavily overgrown property at Mount Mee choked with lantana and regrowth. Spraying, slashing and manual clearing all failed — and a tractor rollover made the risk clear. Remote-controlled mulchers were the answer. Now we bring that same technology, and hard-won experience, to properties across South East Queensland and Northern NSW.
